Brad Meabon and Cass Gibson created Nexcon LLC to combine their skill sets in residential remodeling, exterior landscaping design and commercial construction and rehab to create a partnership that gets results. Our satisfied clients range from homeowners to commercial projects completed in the banking, apartment and retail industry. Nexcon LLC has the capabilities to complete both large and small projects – and stay on time and on budget. We work cooperatively handling both insurance claims and pay for fee services.
At Nexcon LLC we realize that up front planning is the essential element to client satisfaction.
We take our planning-to-build consultation process as seriously as we take your budget. Our planning-to-build process not only eliminates project confusion, but it keeps our entire project team on task
Many homeowners expect to start their project directly after selecting their contracting firm; however, it takes time to thoroughly plan for both large and small remodeling projects to ensure that they are done efficiently and correctly. The timeline of each individual project varies due to factors such as scale and scope of the project, material availability, the permitting process, how quickly selections are made, etc. Regardless, Nexcon LLC will work diligently to complete each project on budget, on time and with exceptional quality and service.
We feel it is very important to know and understand our client’s general project ideas and completion goals. After all, our clients live in and know their homes better than anyone else. Our initial meeting with a homeowner always starts with learning about their goals and priorities for their home. It has been our experience that a client’s initial design ideas can be further developed in our collaborative process to create the perfect end result.
However, it can sometimes feel difficult to explain your design ideas to your re-modeler. Our first recommendation is to create look books of designs, appliances, flooring, paint colors or anything else you find attractive. You can create your look book using online platforms such as Houzz, Pinterest, or also consider the method of cutting photos from magazines. This will help us understand your design aesthetic which we can then use to help you collaboratively design the home of your dreams.
Materials and construction costs can vary greatly depending on the size and scope of the project. The three biggest factors in determining the cost of a project are existing conditions, quality of finishes, and time frame. Throughout the duration of a project, we consider ourselves “keepers of the budget.” At the end of the Feasibility phase, we provide an allowance-based estimate to make sure your vision is within your budget. Once the project selections are made we get bids from our subcontractors during pre-construction. This gives us an accurate fixed-price contract for construction.
We’ve worked very hard in the last few years to develop and maintain project management systems that are efficient on jobs large and small. If we feel the project is not the right fit for our company, we’ll be glad to refer you to professionals who can help you.
Our process allows our design team and the homeowner to explore options and work out the many details before construction starts. Having all the details documented and clarified in our construction drawings allows us to provide clients with fixed-price construction contracts. In the event that a change is required, either client driven or by an unforeseen condition, it is easily handled with a standard change order. We encourage our clients to have minimal changes in order to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
Once construction begins, there is a weekly scheduled meeting on site to review progress, answer questions and keep the project on track. We are accessible to answer any questions via phone, email or text throughout the planning and construction process.
Remodeling is a complex process. Each project is different according to the existing structure, the size of the job, and the wants and needs of the client. We take time with our clients during the consultation process to help understand costs associated with your project. We also do our best to identify any options you may choose in the future and include pricing for those options in our proposal as well.
Typically, when we sign a contract with our client, we hold true to the contracted price. We take the time to go over every detail of your project to ensure the cost is accurate. If there is any additional work or changes made to the project by the homeowner, this could be an additional charge, but our team will go over the new changes with you before any charges are incurred. There is the possibility of issues behind the walls or other areas that can affect the price. It is a standard construction recommendation to allow 10% extra cushion to your budget.
Although we have no fixed minimum in regards to the projects we work on, our best service is utilized through projects that fall in line with our residential remodeling portfolio and our commercial build and repair services. Every project is custom so we work with your budget and project goals to ensure your satisfaction.
Nexcon LLC incorporates a service radius to ensure we provide exceptional service and competitive pricing to every one of our clients. With the goal of maximizing efficiency, we examine each project’s size and scope against its distance from our office in order to be conscientious of budget and schedule considerations. Please contact us to determine if your project is included in our service area.
